Greg has selected "life purpose" coaching as his specialty within the relatively new field of coaching. Additionally, he is qualified by education and life experience to advise on inter-cultural communications and on spiritual growth and development as well. Greg is receiving his coaching training and professional credentials from the Life Purpose Center in Larkspur, CA from a nationally prominent life-purpose coach, author, cultural change agent and transpersonal psychologist, Dr. Jay Earley. Additionally, Greg has been coached and mentored by several world-famous individuals who are highly respected in their respective fields, including several well-known authors.
Financial services professional
Continuing his ten-year practice in investment and insurance services, Greg offers has earned the professional accreditation of CLU within the life insurance industry. Additionally, he is a registered representative with the NASD, offering financial and investment services. His financial practice includes working with individuals and business owners on their financial accumulation, risk protection, retirement and estate planning needs. He finds that this knowledge is also very helpful with his coaching clients whose life purpose goals need to be in harmony with their financial goals and objectives, especially when in times of transition.
Senior commercial and international banker
For over sixteen years, Greg was a career commercial and international banker, working at senior levels of major regional banks in the Midwest and on the East Coast. During that phase of his career, he traveled throughout Europe and Asia for his banking duties. He had significant management lending responsibility, including credit review, team leadership and senior credit authority.
Education
Graduating from The University of Kansas in 1972, Greg earned his BA degree in Political Science and American Studies. He then earned his MBA from KU in 1975. In 1997, Greg earned his designation as Chartered Life Underwriter from the American College.
Community service and civic commitments
Greg's community service has been a major part of his life for over thirty years. During that time, he has been held leadership positions in several not-for-profit organizations for which he had special passion and commitment. These include a historical museum, a fraternal organization, Kansas City Friends of Jung, professional groups. Giving back to one's community has long been a high value in his life. Growing out of his experience as an exchange in high school, Greg has been active for many years in international youth cultural exchange at a regional leadership level with the American Field Service.
Family man
Greg married his college sweetheart, Beth DuPont, in 1972. Beth and Greg have raised three children, ranging in age from fourteen to twenty four. His family, both nuclear and extended, have long been Greg's great joy in life. The family has enjoyed sports, scouting, church-related activities, hosting foreign exchange students, and close ties with a large extended family.
Personal interests
Exploring his intellectual and creative interests has engaged Greg for many years. A life-long learner, Greg's interests are many and varied. Among them are travel, creative writing, music (from jazz to show tunes to classical), piano, family genealogy, and art. An avid reader, Greg enjoys a wide variety of topics, including psychology, spiritual growth, history, comparative religion and mythology, ethics, international relations, global ecology, politics, and community action. Greg has been active in numerous civic projects and efforts to bring greater consciousness into the world - which he feels must always begin with the individual. Greg is active in several local inter-faith organizations.
