The unfolding of integrity, authenticity and meaning, through a creative coaching relationship

Connecting with Life Purpose
Through inner exploration, interaction with professional mentors and coaches, and the support of fellow travelers, participants in Life's Work seek to find meaningful life work consistent with their integrated personhood
. By consciously assenting to the power of the inner voice, the integrated person becomes able to express his/her uniqueness in the way that best suites them and aligned with his/her deepest values. Except for their outreaching spirit and genuineness, integrated people are indistinguishable from others. The primary requirement for attaining an integrated existence is possessing sufficient ego strength to reunite with the dynamic ground within the essence. Although rare and of highest excellence, integration is a developmental stage from which no one can be excluded, for it is an inherited destiny belonging to the human race as a whole.

The purpose of Life's Work is to help us each discover the unique and ethical part we play in Life through the creation of our own unique Great Work. This creation, along with the sense of joy and freedom it brings, is often found in career and/or in meaningful avocation. Through deeply intentional relationships, both with ourselves and with others, the richness of the soul's journey becomes as important as its destination, its wholeness at least as rewarding as worldly achievement.

Guiding Principles

I believe that every person has a life purpose, to be discovered, nurtured and allowed to flourish. Discovering this purpose involves daily interaction with loved ones, our friends, our career choice, our community, our society and, indeed, with all the Cosmos.

I encourage every client to begin this journey toward fulfillment by first becoming aware of his/her deepest nature, core values and temperament, through a preparatory process. Therefore this aspect begins with a thorough self-assessment, through effective mentor/coach interaction.

One outcome of the one-on-one interaction is the invitation to join others with similar issues or interests in community. Honest self-evaluation and dynamic, constructive interaction is encouraged on all aspects of life that bear upon its meaning: body, mind, spirit/soul, as well as material/financial well-being; The quality of one's life depends on it, because only when these are in balance will the Life's Work emerge.

I affirm our need to live lives of meaningful and joyful fulfillment and to do work that reflects and satisfies the dictates of our own soul in the world. The end of the process of Life's Work is the beginning of the true Opus Magnum of the individual. The Life's Work process is an invitation to the larger journey of life, expressed through further study, vocation, avocation and living daily life with meaning.

Coaching Values
I try to
approach each individual person with respect and an attitude of fundamental human equality. Even if our roles make us temporarily unequal in one context (as in teacher/student), I try to remember that we are both learning and growing.

I try to avoid putting people into categories and pigeonholes. If I must, I try to remember that the person is always more than a category and is a unique and valued human being.

I try to operate with mutual honesty and mutual vulnerability. I am not a professional mask. My humanness is transparent.

I try to respect the differences between myself and others. When there are differences, I will try to begin by listening. I first seek to understand, then to be understood.

I try to give myself the same respect and honor that I want to give to another person. I try to respect my need for personal time and personal space, and I lovingly stand up for myself when I need to.

I try to respect and learn from my own inner self, recognizing that there are aspects of myself that remain a mystery even to me.

If we imagine
ourselves as being every bit as huge, deep, mysterious, and
awe-inspiring as the night sky, we might begin to appreciate how complicated we are as individuals, and how much of who we are is
unknown not only to others but to
ourselves."     --Thomas Moore
